Due to the ongoing pandemic, in-person activities may be cancelled at any time. To protect the health and safety of our Members and guests, we will strictly follow all social distancing guidelines set forth by Target Field, the City of Minneapolis and the State of Minnesota. Cancellation notices will be sent via email or push notification through the AFE App (available from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on November 1st). Please also follow us on social media by searching the #ABMLC2020 hashtag on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube.
Well, many attendees will be at home or in the office; so, house rules apply. In general, for the planned in-person events, the dress code will be business casual.
The Loews Minneapolis had signed on to be our conference hotel, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be a room block for ABMLC 2020. Attendees / Guests traveling to Minneapolis can contact the AFE Home Office for information on any hotel deals in the area.
As an operating principle, AFE seeks to conduct its activities in a manner that is objective, vendor-neutral and transparent. To that end, AFE activities shall be open to the press unless an exception is specifically made in advance or if such openness inhibits the ability of attendees to communicate and collaborate in an open and candid manner. Any questions about this policy should be referred to the Executive Director of AFE.
Of course. Just do not ask AC to entertain them. He is really not into that. In all seriousness, we had several events planned for spouses and kiddies. Well … COVID-19. Since the scope of the overall event has been reduced, many of the social activities that would have been amenable to spouses did not make it into the final program agenda.
Track speakers must register for ABMLC but do not need to pay the applicable registration fee if they are only attending the session at which they are speaking. Notwithstanding, if a speaker wishes to participate in more than just their session, they must pay a partial conference. Additionally, speakers will be responsible for their lodging and transportation.
ABMLC 2020 will be co-hosted by AFE 13, the Twin Cities Chapter. AFE 13 – Twin Cities represents AFE Region 3, our Midwestern region. AFE 13 is one of the longest-standing and largest professional chapters in AFE. For more information on the activities and Members of AFE 13 – Twin Cities, please visit their booth (#49652) and on the web at https://afetwincities.org/ .
Registration for the 2020 AFE Annual Business Meeting & Leadership Conference will close on Monday, 16 November 2020 at 6 PM CT.
The short answer is, YES! The more nuanced answer, however, is that instead of onsite reg, it is more like ongoing online registration. Attendees / Guests are encouraged to register through the official ABMLC 2020 portal or at AFE.org.
Emphatically YES! All attendees / guests are welcome to participate in the booth scavenger hunt for a chance to earn bragging rights plus … win a few fabulous prizes.
